Sophia’s Green Mint Ice Tea

Ingredients

  • 3 tea bags green tea
  • 1/2 ltr boiling water
  • 4 tsp honey or agave syrup
  • 1 lemon
  • 5 fresh mint leaves

Benefits

Green tea is loaded with polyphenol antioxidants, called catechins, which may be beneficial for metabolic function, and L-theanine, supporting the function and protection of the brain. Mint has cleansing and detoxifying properties and may help to relieve gas and bloating.

Method

  • Boil water and pour over tea bags.

  • Squeeze half a lemon into the tea, slice the rest to infuse in the liquid.

  • Tear 5 large mint leaves and add to the mix.

  • Add honey, leave to cool.
  • Pour over a handful of Ice cubes.
