Swap sugary shop bought sweets with these dense chewy energising bites.
Raw cacao is the most nutrient-dense form of chocolate, providing an excellent source of magnesium (natures tranquiliser). Iron, and antioxidants. Nuts are a great source of vitamin E, magnesium, fibre, and protein.
Add almonds, dates, syrup, cacao, and salt to a food processor and blend until it forms a dense dough.
Line 20cm square baking dish/ brownie tin with baking paper and press the dough until a smooth even surface.
Store in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Cut the brownies in even squares and top each with a walnut.
